Johnson & Johnson 2021 Virtual Engineering Showcase

Prospective participants—either individuals or small teams—should submit a PowerPoint slide deck (with 2 content slides maximum) detailing their proposals. Proposals will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Innovation & Novelty (25%): How innovative is the product/project/research/subject topic matter to industry?
  • Feasibility & Capability for Implementation (25%): How realistic or feasible is it to have the product/project/research/subject topic matter utilized in today’s industry?
  • Impact to Business or Humanity (25%): What or how big an impact could this product/project/research/subject topic matter have on business or humanity?
  • Presentation (25%):
    • How well is the product/project/research/subject topic matter being presented?
    • How clearly is the information received/topic understood?
    • How aesthetically pleasing is the poster?
    • Is the information laid out in a clear, concise, and effective manner?
    • Are there visual aids/representations that could help people understand the subject topic matter easily?

Students who wish to participate should submit their proposal via email to Joe Trento at Johnson & Johnson by January 18, 2021, using the following format:

Hi Joe, I am interested in presenting virtually at the Engineering Showcase in New Brunswick, NJ on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

My college/university is: (INSERT HERE)

I am a (graduate/undergraduate) student.

I have attached my proposal that follows the guidelines requested (2 content slides maximum) and aligns with the judging criteria provided. I understand that I will receive further information on Monday, January 18, 2020 if my poster has been selected for presentation.

The J&J team will evaluate the proposals and notify entrants as soon as possible if they have been selected to participate in the event. Selected students/teams will receive further information at that time about next steps.  Please contact Joe Trento with any questions.
