Assistant Research Professor, Biomedical Engineering

The College of Engineering and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill a non-tenure-line Assistant Research Professor position. The successful candidate will conduct delivery studies in dual switch selection drives. This position will play a key role in moving towards the in vivo delivery of a candidate dual switch selection drive.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. Candidates with expertise in all of the following are encouraged to apply: agent based modeling, tyrosine kinase driven drug resistance, cell therapy, synthetic biology, and in vivo mouse handling. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work with multiple labs.

The position will be in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and affiliated with the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. The Penn State BME Department and Huck Institutes provide a rich environment in which faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate/undergraduate students regularly interact and conduct collaborative studies. Affiliated faculty, staff and students have access to the Institutes’ state-of-the-art core facilities.

This is a term appointment, funded for one year from date of hire, with an excellent possibility of renewal.
